What do you most like to do when you are not working?

As little as possible! Whimsically I would say, get the paints out, make a nice meal, bake, go for a nice walk…. but if I am honest it is more likely to be something along the lines of the “guilty pleasures” answer below!

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

Don’t smoke. Not heeded for many years unfortunately...but I have redeemed myself now!  ! However suffering from a bad cold with bronchitis one winter my doctor told me “you will always have a reason to smoke.”  This was the turning point – don’t make the excuses, just give it up.
Also: ‘Live the life you love, love the life you live.’ (Credit to B Gillespie).

What’s one of your favourite memories?

Laughing hysterically ‘til we cried with my mum dad and brother watching candid camera telly programmes in the 80s.  Schadenfreude humour was rife in our family!

What’s one thing about you that surprises people?

My ‘granny’ skills – I can knit, crochet and embroider, and have sold things I have made for all three crafts. To counter this reputation I have also jumped off a 40ft cliff. OK I was 15 and fearless at the time!

If you had a time machine, what advice would you give your 18-year-old self?

Become an accountant ££££ haha! Seriously: Do what makes you happy as Mr Gillespie says... so that’s why I am not an accountant!  Better to make the time count with the people who are dearest to you, and don’t fret the small stuff.

What makes you really happy?

Waking up in a ‘new’ (sunny and warm) city; travelling and seeing new places.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Netflix and ice cream and a duvet on the couch. Preferably together!

What are you most grateful for?

My health, my family and my friends.
