Corn Street, Glasgow

This strategic overview of the development potential of the warehouse and associated site area at 36 Corn Street has been carried out following discussion with John Grewar of Cargill Property Consultants and on behalf of Mr Alex Harris, the building owner.

 

 

The site has particular significance given its strategic importance within the Speirs Wharf Masterplan which has effectively been adopted by Glasgow City Council as guidance and intent for the future redevelopment of this important area of the city.

The site has enormous potential for new uses that would be a positive contribution to the area.The potential to develop built footprint to bridge between the building and the canal has been explored though it should be noted that development costs would be affected by the technical challenges of building close to the canal and its retaining structures.
